ARC Raiders Riven Tides Patch Notes 1.26.0

Version: Patch 1.26.0 Update Theme: Riven Tides Release Date: April 28, 2026

Riven Tides event header

Overview

Raiders, the first scouting reports from Riven Tides have finally reached Speranza. Fractured observation logs, faded photographs, and coastal recordings have all pointed toward one thing: it is time to move out.

The new area takes you across abandoned shorelines, through the Exodus port, and into the lost luxury hotel known as Panorama Azzurro.

This is still the Rust Belt, and danger is never far away. Other Raiders are already searching for new loot, while a new airborne ARC machine now patrols the skies. What it wants, how it behaves, and how to deal with it are all things you will need to discover in the field.

New Map: Riven Tides

Patch 1.26.0 adds a new map: Riven Tides.

This new location is built around abandoned coastal areas, the Exodus port, and the luxury hotel Panorama Azzurro. The map introduces new exploration routes, new loot opportunities, and a different style of combat space shaped by open coastlines, vertical structures, and contested points of interest.

New Map Condition: Beachcombing

Riven Tides also introduces a small map condition called Beachcombing.

During this condition, Raiders can search the beaches of Riven Tides for buried treasure. To make the most of it, you will need to bring the right tools and stay ready for whatever may surface.

New ARC Enemy: ARC Turbine

A new ARC enemy has been added: ARC Turbine.

This airborne ARC machine patrols the Riven Tides area. Its movement, threat range, and counterplay are meant to be learned through real encounters.

New Augment

A new Augment has been added:

  • Tactical Mk.3 (Smoke)

With the addition of this new Tactical Augment, the team has also noted that some Augments, especially Combat Augments, are not yet performing as strongly within their intended roles.

A future Augment balance pass is planned, with particular attention on Combat Mk.3 (Flanking) Augment, which has not yet found a strong place in the current lineup.

The goal is to make the full Augment roster feel more complete and to ensure that each category has strong and meaningful options.

Update Highlights

Patch 1.26.0 mainly focuses on three key areas:

  • Trigger 'Nade balance changes
  • Weapon repair and upgrade adjustments
  • Bettina buffs

These changes affect weapon economy, PvP durability loss, equipment maintenance, throwable timing, and the combat value of specific weapons.

Balance Changes

Weapon Economy

The current weapon economy has become increasingly uneven.

Players who often engage in PvP are forced to make difficult decisions around weapon durability and replacement costs, while more passive or friendly players may continue to build up a large weapon supply over time.

This update aims to make weapon degradation more meaningful for all player types, while also adding new ways to reduce the pressure of durability loss.

New Mechanic: Weapon Upgrades Now Repair Durability

Previously, players often had to repair a weapon before upgrading it. This made upgrading feel too expensive and reduced the practical value of the upgrade system.

Now, upgrading a weapon also restores durability:

  • Upgrading a weapon restores 25% of that weapon's maximum durability.

This gives low-durability weapons more value and makes the upgrade loop smoother.

Weapon Spawns and Starting Durability

Weapon spawns in the outer areas of maps have been reduced.

This change is intended to make high-tier areas and locked rooms more valuable, while increasing the tension around looting these locations.

At the same time, the durability range of spawned weapons has been widened, and the average durability of weapons found in regular areas has been lowered. This loss can be partly offset by the new upgrade repair mechanic.

Specific change:

  • Average spawned weapon durability: 50 -> 30

This means you may find a weapon with around 15 durability in outer areas, while locked rooms can still contain weapons with around 60 durability.

Weapon Durability Loss from Firing

Player feedback showed that high-tier weapons were too expensive to maintain compared to lower-tier weapons.

To make higher-rarity weapons more valuable over time, durability loss from firing has been adjusted based on weapon rarity.

Specific changes:

  • Common weapons: durability loss from firing increased by 75%
  • Uncommon weapons: durability loss from firing increased by 50%
  • Rare weapons: durability loss from firing increased by 35%
  • Epic weapons: durability loss from firing reduced by 5%
  • Legendary weapons: durability loss from firing reduced by 10%

Lower-rarity weapons will now wear down faster, while higher-rarity weapons will last longer.

Weapon Durability Loss When Downed

To keep high-intensity PvP viable in ARC Raiders, weapon durability loss when a player is downed has been reduced.

Specific change:

  • Weapon durability loss when downed: -30% -> -15%

This reduces the penalty by 50%.

ARC Enemy Adjustments

ARC pressure has been reduced in selected map conditions.

Specific changes:

  • Comets have been removed from standard Dam Battlegrounds matches.
  • Firefly spawn frequency has been significantly reduced on Dam Battlegrounds.
  • Comet spawn frequency has been reduced on Buried City.

Comets and Fireflies had made some beginner-facing sessions more difficult than intended. These changes are meant to bring the affected encounters closer to the expected difficulty level.

Stella Montis Loot Changes

In Stella Montis, the distribution of Exodus recyclables has been adjusted.

These items should now be spread more evenly across different container types.

Item Changes

Vaporizer Regulator

Specific change:

  • Stack size: 1 -> 3

Trigger 'Nade

Trigger 'Nade has been adjusted to reduce rapid throw-and-trigger chains.

Players can no longer trigger one grenade and immediately throw another before the animation finishes.

Specific changes:

  • After throwing, there is now a 1s delay before the next throw or trigger action.
  • After triggering, there is now a 1.3s delay before the next throw or trigger action.

This reduces Trigger 'Nade spam and removes the ability to use one grenade to instantly trigger the next one in quick succession.

Photoelectric Cloak

Photoelectric Cloak has been performing too strongly, especially because of how long it can remain active.

This update increases its cost of use.

Specific changes:

  • Weight: 1 -> 3
  • Power drain rate: 2.5/s -> 10/s

The strength of the cloak while active remains unchanged, but players now need to use it more carefully.

You may need to find cover sooner, plan your route more carefully, or reconsider entering highly contested ARC areas while relying on the cloak.

Weapon Changes

Bettina Buffs

Bettina has been buffed to better match the expected performance of its rarity.

Its base damage and ARC armor damage have been increased, making each shot more valuable. Its base fire rate has been reduced, and its spread behavior has been adjusted to reward controlled bursts and sustained accuracy.

Specific changes:

  • Base damage: 14 -> 16
  • Base fire rate: 285 -> 235
  • Spread per shot reduced by approximately 40%
  • Spread recovery time increased by approximately 30%
  • ARC armor damage increased by approximately 33%

These changes are intended to make each Bettina shot feel more meaningful, while rewarding players who can control their burst timing and sustained fire.

Heavy Ammo

Specific change:

  • Stack size: 40 -> 60

This reduces the inventory penalty for carrying Heavy Ammo and makes it easier to bring enough ammunition for weapons such as Bettina.
